Sleeping is necessary for maintaining our body healthy, it affects our overall health and lack of it can trigger many health issues.
When we sleep the organs and cells are replenished and certain important compounds are synthesized so when we wake up we feel fresh, energized and ready for the day.
The sleeping hours can be different depending on the individual, but experts suggest that 7 to 8 hours is a perfect time. However, recent studies suggest that sleeping is a different process for men and women.
Sleeping more equates to more output.
Not only that, recent studies show that getting good quality sleep is the best defense against dementia.
Women Need More Sleep
Several scientific studies show that women need about 20 minutes more sleep than men. Neuroscientists are strongly suggesting in order to feel fully rejuvenated and restored to health, women should plan on getting a good half hour more sleep to be safe.
The latest, a 2016 study by scientists at the Max Planck Institute in Germany, compared 160 adults of both sexes and found that women need to sleep longer to restore brain power.
Experts are saying that it’s not because of neurological (hardware) differences between the sexes, it has more to do with the culture (software) of women and types of careers they gravitate towards, etc.
With nothing more to add, after that we need to conclude that if you are a woman you should take this into account and start to relax more.
