Butter is actually fat and this is the reason why many people eliminate it from their diet.
However, it turns out that butter is able to bring many health benefits to the body. This is especially true for butter that comes from grass-fed cows. But, what are the effects of cow’s diet on the butter based on its milk? Is this butter good for the cardiovascular health?

As a matter of fact, cows that follow grass-based diet produce milk that contain 500% more CLA compared to regular milk.
Butter Contains Saturated Fat, But Who Cares?
People think that butter is unhealthy, because it contains high amounts of saturated fat. But, this is actually an un-valid argument against butter, because the saturated fat myth has been “busted” in the last few years. There were 2 major studies on this subject and they both included hundreds of thousands of people. These studies have found that there is no link between saturated fat consumption and heart disease.
Studies Show That People Who Eat Grass-Fed Butter Have a Lower Risk of Heart Disease
According to a recent research work that covered almost three dozen studies related to fatty acids, there was no proof that replacing saturated fat with polyunsaturated fat and reducing the intake of saturated fat could improve cardiovascular health.
Another study from 2010 also claimed that there was no major relation between foods containing high amount of saturated fat and the cardiovascular health. Because of these studies, it can be established that the poor reputation of saturated fats with regard to heart health are mostly unfounded.
There are two major research works from 2009-10 that further established the benefits of eating butter and other products from the milk of grass-fed cows. These studies revealed that location played an important role.
These studies took place in Australia and Sweden. These are two countries where a more cows feed on grass-based diets than on grain-based diets. The researchers made the following discoveries during the studies:
The intake of dairy-based foods was inversely associated with the occurrence of cardio and cerebrovacular conditions.
There was no direct relation between intake of dairy foods and death rate.
Australia and Sweden have vast areas of grasslands. This further contributes to the point that their butter and dairy products are healthier.
The conclusion of these studies was that dairy intake could affect cerebrovascular events and cardiovascular events and that dairy intake has nothing to do with mortality. These countries have healthy dairy products that are safe for consumption.
