All sorts of things can taste better, by adding a little sprinkle of cinnamon. This aromatic spice has been used as a seasoning and flavor additive for foods and drinks for a long time. Some like to cook with it and some people like to put it in their coffee, which are both fantastic ideas!
You may didn’t know this but cinnamon oil is a fantastic mosquito repellent, and it has also been shown to kill mosquito larvae.
There are multiple medicinal uses for cinnamon as well. Cinnamon banana tea can help a person sleep, and cinnamon bark has been shown to stabilize blood sugar.
There are a lot of non-food related ways in which the power of cinnamon can be harnessed.
A typical issue is that a nasty fungus may create alongside young, newly planted seeds sprout. The fungus can be the reason for ‘damping off.’ That is a disease which is destructive to vulnerable seedlings, because it can greatly debilitate or destroy them. The fungus prospers in warm, humid environments.
In order to combat the typical problem, reach into your spice cabinet and take out the powdered cinnamon. You just have to sprinkle a little bit of the aromatic spice onto the soil around the plants. It will protect your seedlings.
